Ali Asaria’s company, Well.ca, started out as an experiment run from the back closet of a pharmacy. Boy have things changed in just a few months. The domain name has evolved from CanadaHomeHealth.com to the much more memorable Well.ca. The site looks great, having just underwent a major facelift. A beauty section has been added. And investors are chasing Ali down, trying to get into the next round.
Why? Take a look at Shoppers’, Rexall’s, and Amazon’s websites and you’ll notice none of the above sell health and beauty products online. Sure there are loads of online pharmacies hawking prescription drugs across the border, but Well.ca is focusing on selling health and beauty products to Canadians.
Pulling a move from Amazon’s playbook, Well.ca, offers $3 shipping anywhere in Canada, and free shipping on orders over $99. The team has grown to four and will probably double shortly. Sales you ask? Focusing on SEO has yielded more sales volume than most brick and mortar pharmacies. Don’t forget to tell Mom about this site, cause Ali created a special coupon just for her (10% off coupon code: BEWELL).
Also worth checking out is Ali’s Blog, where he is offering up hard learned lessons and cataloging his adventure launching an online retailing company in Canada.

Ali Asaria has found his niche. The non prescription health and beauty category is not as saturated as the online pharmaceutical industry or have as many rogue sites making bad names for the legitimate companies. I am sure Ali will do very well in Canada and some day, the entire globe.

I have one question about online pharmacies: how are they able to deliver specific drugs without any prescription from the customer? From my personal knowledge it is forbidden to sell certain drugs that come with a doctor prescription. Can someone answer me that?

We must not forget that, in fashion as in every thing else, people are subjective. A man designing clothes for women will want to dress them according to his fantasy. But a woman will always think about the beauty and the comfort of the clothes. That is why the best dresses and shoes I ever wore were designed by women. Everything from the fabric, the color or the way a dress highlights my womanhood tells me that women are better designers than men.

I saw this offer on the easy saver website. Their easy saver program would recommend this to people on a daily basis until the offer expired of course.
